Handmade African Greeting Cards - Recycled materials and Fair Trade Handmade in Africa from paper, copper wire, beads and recycled aerosol cans, these cards will appeal to the kid in you! Not only are these cards fun, but they also benefit the environment through their recycling and use of natural materials.

The cards are mounted on either plain white paper, or paper made from Water Hyacinth plants. These plants have taken over much of the local lake, to the detriment of other plants and wildlife in and around the lake.

To keep the ecology of the lake's environment balanced, the Water Hyacinth must be removed. Instead of throwing the Water Hyacinth plants away as organic waste, it is harvested and processed to make this wonderful textured paper.

Please note, each card is made by hand using recycled materials so there will be slight variations between them, making each one a mini work of art! All cards are supplied with envelopes.
